As principal of St. Joseph’s NS it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our website which aims to provide you with a snapshot of the warm, welcoming, caring environment that characterises St. Joseph’s NS. This website is an important source of information for the entire school community.

St. Joseph’s NS is an all-boys school and the only school located in the Sacred Heart parish.  We are a Presentation school, which dates back to a decision made by Edmund Rice to provide schooling for deprived Catholic boys in 1802.  The school is in its current location since 1913.

We prioritise the individual development of each boy in a happy, secure and positive environment. We consider the academic, physical, spiritual and emotional aspects of our students and aspire to provide them with as many opportunities as possible to enable them develop holistically.

Our core purpose is to ensure the highest possible standard of learning in all classrooms. Every teacher wants what is best for all students. We have a caring staff who encourage students to achieve their academic potential.

The role of parents/guardians is considered to be of great significance to us. Creating an environment where school and home work together to create the truly unique individual your son is capable of becoming is central to us all.
