The Sciath na Scol Hurling semi finals were this week. We played Ovens NS in St Joseph's pitch on Monday 29th of April at 12:30.
They were very physical but we put it up to them. They had a strong half back who was good in the rucks. And some very good hurlers in midfield.
I scored a goal at the Halfway line early in the first half. We scored another early goal, and that set us up well for the game.
After that we worked very hard on every breaking ball so we didn’t let Ovens back into the game
In the second half, one of the subs scored a goal into the top corner over his shoulder.
We are through to the Sciath na Scol hurling final. It is probably on in Páirc Uí Rinn, at the end of May. Date TBC.
